Sift is built for terminal-first users who want to understand a directory quickly without bouncing between Finder, editors, and preview apps. Version 1 focuses on browsing files, inspecting metadata, previewing content, and opening files in the default macOS app when needed.

The workspace groups directories first, supports keyboard-first navigation, and keeps file actions intentionally narrow so exploration stays fast and low-risk.

Common commands

$ siftLaunch Sift in the current directory.
$ sift /path/to/projectOpen a specific project or folder as the workspace root.
$ sift --helpShow command help and available options.
